would reupholstering and repainting an antique car ruin its value?

to make things simple because i need an answer, im 17, i bought a 1975 mercury mariner from my grandmother in very good condition and i want to make it look drivable for a 17 year old. ie: new paint job, new leather interior. would i be ruining the car?

Do what you want to that car as you will only increase the value of it.

what value..old doesnt mean its worth a lot…go ahead and fix it up…it will be worth more…
